The last week of 2024 ended on a powerful note with the highly anticipated ATILIM WinterCamp'24, held from December 26th to 29th at the ATILIM Gym in Amstelveen. This four-day event was a vibrant mix of skill development, cultural connection, and camaraderie—a perfect way for martial arts enthusiasts to close out the year.
An Action-Packed Program
Participants immersed themselves in an intensive and rewarding training schedule. Each day included:
2 hours of ATILI WingTsun: The sessions focused on refining self-defense techniques, enhancing coordination, and building mental resilience.
2 hours of ATILIM Escrima: Attendees honed their skills with this traditional Filipino martial art, emphasizing precision, footwork, and practical stick and blade combat.
The sessions were led by none other than Sifu AKIN, a master known for his deep expertise and inspiring instruction. Adding an international coaching dimension to the event, the Head Trainer of Canada joined as a guest instructor, sharing unique insights and broadening participants' perspectives on martial arts techniques.
Culinary Delight and Community Bonding
The WinterCamp'24 wasn’t just about training—it was also a celebration of community. A standout moment of the event was the dinner hosted by ATILIM, featuring Çiğ Köfte, a flavorful and beloved dish from traditional Turkish cuisine. This culinary experience brought everyone together, reinforcing the sense of belonging and cultural appreciation that defines ATILIM.
A Special Gift for Dedicated Students
ATILIM's commitment to growth and excellence was evident in a remarkable gesture. On December 28th, students at the 4th StudentLevel and above were invited to participate in the exclusive ATILIM WingTsun AssistantSeminar, fully sponsored by ATILIM. This seminar provided advanced training and leadership development for those seeking to deepen their involvement in the WingTsun community.
